Highlights of My work

Showcasing unique handmade furniture with creative uses of upcycled wood.

The purpleheart side table

This unique side table was made as a donation for my priest. The purple heart slab was harvested in Colombia, the priest's country of origin. This couldn't have been a better species of wood to give as a present to a Catholic priest because in Spanish, this species is called Nazareno. This is a person who lives in Nazareth, and the purple symbolizes Jesus Christ's royalty as the Son of God. he loved the table, and it is now in his house!

 Craftsmanship

By embracing both traditional methods and personal innovation, Luke Sorrells’ craftsmanship creates wood furnishings that uniquely express individual style and durability.

mission offcut

Using materials that would otherwise be thrown away allows the mission of making every square inch of material used in one way or another. I recognize that all lumber was once a living tree that God made; therefore, we should show no waste in God's creation that showcases nature’s enduring beauty.

Rainbow poplar table

This table below was my first table I ever made! I submitted it as a project freshman year in high school! I am very proud of how it turned out, and now it is at home as an heirloom piece I built with my Grandfather.

Behind the scenes gallery

This gallery demonstrates what I put into each piece, no matter how big or small.
